Another characteristic of these people is the apprehension, if ever you happen to order some material from the band in question, an encyclopedia of excuses could be written at that time. Can you blame them? Would be delivering a highly prized possession, believing that the other person can never be what they are.
Ignorance is the key. Who says that only he or she know a band is pure ignorance. In this age of social networks, it is foolish to imagine that anyone else in the entire country knows that band, and more stupid is when they are not even aware of what is happening with this band or artist.
Research is another key point here. I admit I knew the genre punk by The Offspring, but it was thanks to research I met Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash and many other bands that founded the genre. The lack of research may lead to comments such as: "The Clash, yes, sound good, but look a lot like Blink 182."
The more unknown than the country of origin of a band, the more interesting becomes one, that's what these people think. Being so unknown, the chance to see them live away, and these people often complain of having been born in their country, usually long for Europe and Asia, without even being aware that his band, so loved, it has been announced in your country, Camera Obscura for example.
Beware this type of people, can become harmful to the body, accelerating the production of bile, it is best to find the funny side, investigate and show how ignorant they are, that produces joy, at least in my case.
