GREAT radio reports
In the golden era of telephony in Chile and when it was the mass medium of instant communication, news programs were of great importance.
Thus, before an earthquake, natural disaster, an accident, the result of a football game, a political event, or the weather forecast, people tuned into a radio.
And little by little, the broadcasters were creating programs which are now historic, with the help of great journalists who took school, and the development of flagship speakers, voices specializing in news reading.
Every news program had its characteristics Identification and musical curtains, which repeated several times in the issuance of each day, for decades, today ringtones are intimately linked to the memory of all those Chileans who grew up and live with the radio.

THE REPORTER ESSO - RADIAL flagship report
This report began Radio Agriculture in 1941, its first reader Juan Lehuedé. In 1951 he switched to Radio Mining being read by Pepe Abad for many years. It was broadcast four times daily, at 8.30, 13.30, 20.30 and 22.30 hours, with a duration of 5 minutes, prepared by United Press International.
The wording was a lesson in synthesis, since each story was not to occupy more than 6 or 7 lines, interspersed with a national and a foreigner. With five minutes to transmit the information was given on the radio.
Whenever there was a last-minute fact a reporter for United Press dictate the news to the radio via a telephone call. Later
United Press teletype installed a radio, so that a reporter located in the offices of United Press wrote the text that immediately appeared on the station.
